The following announcement was originally sent as an email to all division executive directors and division administrators on January 10, 2022.
To keep our site safe and secure, from Saturday, January 15 to Sunday, January 16, we will be updating all divisionsbc.ca websites from Drupal 8 to Drupal 9.
During this time, the websites will be placed in maintenance mode and there will be a notice on the website letting visitors know the site is down for scheduled maintenance (see screenshot of preview below). All visitors, including members and administrators, will not be able to login or view the website. To reduce disruptions during regular business hours, the update was chosen to occur over the weekend when we know website traffic is low.

To notify all website users of the upcoming website maintenance, a small banner will be placed at the top of all pages starting the morning of Thursday, January 13.
Additional website training for division administrators should not be required because the user experience on the frontend and backend of the websites will remain the same.
This timeframe could change if difficulties arise. Should this occur, a member of our team will contact you with an updated timeframe. You will be notified once the update is complete and you can resume editing and saving content.
