Division doctors receive King Charles III's Coronation Medal

Dr Baldev Sanghera and Dr Evan Adams were both recognized for outstanding service by receiving King Charles III’s Coronation Medal.

Burnaby Division’s Dr Baldev Sanghera received a King Charles III Coronation Medal in recognition of his outstanding community service and physician leadership. Dr Sanghera has made significant contributions to the medical profession in BC through his roles as a family doctor in Burnaby, physician lead for the Burnaby PCN, founding board member of the Burnaby Division of Family Practice, and longtime FPSC committee member in the role of Interior Health region representative.

Dr Evan Adams received his King Charles III’s Coronation Medal for contributing to and leading Indigenous public health organizations and amplifying Indigenous voices. From 2014-2020 Dr Adams was the First Nations Health Authority’s inaugural Chief Medical Officer and currently serves as their Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Public Health. His past contributions to BC health care include serving on the Board of Directors for the qathet Division of Family Practice (2018-2020) and acting as Deputy Chief Medical Officer of Public Health for Indigenous Services Canada (2020-2023).
