This is longitudinal family practice for members of the K'omoks First Nation and their family members, including some other Indigenous identified and Metis patients. We also provide urgent same-day access and bridging care to increase access for patients attached elsewhere.

Cultural safety & humility training is mandatory, as well as demonstrated experience working collaboratively with Indigenous peoples.

We are seeking consistent intermittent locum coverage over the medium to long term to fill physician absences and add capacity when needed. 2-3 days of in-person clinic is usually provided weekly; for vacations, 1.5-2 days (or 3 half-days) of coverage for 1-2 weeks, 1-2x/year would be welcome.

For shorter absences (i.e. CME or illness) 1 day/week (or two half days) would be welcome. For the right person to support ongoing relationship with the clinic staff and patients/community members, we have some flexibility in scheduling to accommodate consistency and ongoing relationship.

Appointments are usually booked for 30 min (to support relationship-building, safety + charting time).
