Gavin (PCN Manager) has worked in the area of health and healthcare for 15 years. He has a background in research and cardiovascular biochemistry, health related policy development and system improvement. Working for most of his career in not for profit organizations, his work philosophy is driven by always striving to make positive system changes in the areas of health promotion and care. Moving to BC from the UK many years ago to pursue his studies in Vancouver, Gavin put down roots on the Pacific Coast. He lives just outside of Courtenay with his wife and children where they enjoy the natural beauty of Vancouver Island, access to locally grown food and the seemingly endless off road bike trails in the region.
