Dr. Allen grew up in Kelowna, BC and completed her medical degree at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. She discovered her passion for rural family medicine during clerkship, where training through an integrated rural stream introduced her to the breadth of clinical skills, diverse practice opportunities, and unique rewards of rural medicine. She was thrilled to match to the Strathcona Family Medicine residency program and looks forward to staying in the Comox Valley after completion of her residency training. On her days off, Dr. Allen loves exploring Vancouver Island through hiking as well as baking and cross-country skiing.
