About the Clinic: Join our collegial group of 5 physicians at Courtenay Medical Clinic, located in downtown Courtenay, in a beautiful renovated (interior and exterior) physician-owned building. The clinic is within walking distance of the nursing center, public health, mental health, labs, physio, massage, pharmacies, banks, and restaurants. This busy clinic was first established 30 years ago.

We have excellent support staff of MOAs, a business manager, and one nurse. Each physician has their own physical office and adjacent exam room. Physicians can delegate or do their own billing, typing, dictate with dictaphone, or Dragon Speech.

Patient Demographics: Standard population of the average family practice with a heavier portion of adults, few pediatrics and no obstetrics. No hospital privileges required.

Hours Of Work: FT/PT - Flexible (Clinic Hours are 8:30 am - 5 pm, Monday - Friday)

Benefits: May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including:

  • Recruitment Incentive - $10,000
  • Fee Premium - 6.93%
  • Annual Flat Fee – $10,516.77
  • Relocation Costs Reimbursement: up to a maximum of $15,000 (amount based on funding availability and on location relocating from)
  • Rural CME starting at $2,200/annum in years 3 & 4 in the community, increasing to a maximum of $4,400/annum after 4 years
