Lisa McVicar grew up on Vancouver Island and in Ottawa. She studied at Queen’s University before completing medical school at the University of Ottawa and a rural family medicine residency based out of Kelowna in 2014.  She had some wonderful experiences working in rural BC as well as having her own full scope family practice in Yellowknife, which included a significant proportion of maternity care.

Lisa has enjoyed living, working and playing in Kamloops the past 3 years. She feels lucky to be a part of a woman’s pregnancy, delivery and postpartum experience; is continually inspired by her patients throughout their remarkable journey; and prides herself in providing safe, individualized obstetrical care to her patients and families.
