There is a quarterly incentive bonus paid out to regular staff how have signed onto the contract for continuous work.
Locums are eligible for standard IH travel locum coverage.

Summary of Opportunity: TRFO is a well supported maternity clinic that is a collaboration between family doctors, midwives and nurses to provide maternity care to Kamloops and the surrounding region. We manage low to high risk patients with local ObGYN support. We do a mix of clinic and call to support patients from the antenatal through to 6 weeks post-partum. In our beautiful new hospital we have ObGyn, NICU and pediatrics which help with extra physician support. We are a UBC training site and so have a mix of medical students and residents if you enjoy teaching. We have a flexible scheduling system to try and support physicians in their mixed models of practice.

We are looking to hire FT, PT or locums.
A full-time position generally includes three, eight-hour clinic days and three, 24-hour on-call shifts per month. There is flexibility around splitting shifts and monthly scheduling. 
The group has negotiated a service contract for prenatal, intrapartum and postpartum care.

Job Description:
Royal Inland Hospital is a UBC teaching hospital and one of two tertiary hospitals in Interior Health. Our facility serves a catchment of approximately 250,000 and has 273 beds. We offer high-level, specialty medical care including Cardiology, Critical Care, Dermatology, Neurology, Infectious Disease, Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, Nephrology, Respirology, and Rheumatology. We are looking for physicians to join our dynamic, collegial, and lifestyle-oriented group.

Full-time: 13-14 shifts per month with shifts of up to 9 hours

On call requirements: 2 days of Trauma Team Lead per month

KAMLOOPS - Royal Inland Hospital - Hospitalist

Hours of Work: 24 weeks annually; each week 72 hours six regular day shifts, one late shift to midnight (on-site to 11pm), and one 8-hour overnight home call.

On Call: Your on-call duties allow for work-life balance. Call frequency is negotiable based on interest and energy - some take more, some less. Your schedule is one 12-hour late shift until midnight (in-house until 11PM) plus one 8-hour overnight call from midnight-8AM per 14 days. For a 1.0 FTE, this averages 1 extended late shift and 1 overnight call every 2 weeks. Any hours worked 11PM-8AM are eligible for MOCAP level 2.

Compensation Type: You'll have the potential to maximize your earnings as a hospitalist based on the provincial APP clinical service contract s hourly rate of $200.10, plus additional incentives, including MOCAP level 2. As a full-time hospitalist at RIH, you ll receive a minimum of $323,792 annually, with the opportunity to make even more! Our full-time hospitalists work an average of 1,728 hours per year (that's 24 weeks at 72 hours per week). There are also lucrative shift premiums you'll get paid even more for your evening, weekend, and overnight shifts. After hours premiums include $25 per hour extra for evening shifts from 6pm-11pm, $25 per hour extra for weekend day shifts, and $35 per hour extra for overnight shifts from 11pm-8am. Physician Overhead: There is a small overhead payment of $3.48 per hour worked. 

Incentives: Relocation funding available; $9,000 for moves within BC, $12,000 for moves within Canada and $15,000 for those relocating from outside Canada. Incentives are subject to change.

If you re a US-trained physician with ABMS certification in Internal Medicine, you may be eligible to practice medicine in British Columbia under the CPSBC's USA certified class pathway.

Our new UPCC located in the Northhills Mall on the North Shore of Kamloops features a large purpose-built design with many exam rooms and an abundance of free parking.

The Kamloops North Shore UPCC sees patients who might normally go to a family doctor or nurse practitioner for their ailment, if an appointment had been available. The team provides care for less serious injuries, lacerations/wounds/skin conditions, infections, minor pediatric illness/injury, women's health, and culturally safe care.

Flexible four-hour shifts in a seven-day-per-week model will fit into all types of work and lifestyles.
