About Megan

As the Division’s Recruitment and Retention Project Manager, Megan’s work includes recruiting physicians to work in Surrey-North Delta to help accommodate for the community’s growing population and retiring physicians. She also helps retiring physicians to develop transition and exit strategies and ensures that physician wellness is incorporated into all Division events and initiatives.

In her role, Megan enjoys meeting and working with physicians from all over the world and helping them navigate the processes for practicing in BC (and Surrey-North Delta in particular). She finds it highly gratifying when she can fill a permanent or locum vacancy at a clinic, relieving a GP’s workload stress and allowing them to some well-deserved time off, while increasing GP accessibility for patients.

Since joining the Division in 2014, Megan has worked in a variety of positions including Programs Assistant and Recruitment and Retention Coordinator. She has also been involved with several Shared Care initiatives, including the RACE App and the Local Action Team for Child and Youth Mental Health and Substance Use. She has a Bachelor of General Studies from SFU.

Megan has two daughters, aged seven and nine. She has traveled to over 30 countries, backpacking on six different continents. When she is home, she enjoys growing fruit and vegetables in her garden.
