Dr. Mohammad Hurmat Ali

Dr. Hurmat Ali has been practicing full time family practice medicine in Surrey for the past four years. His interest is pain management, with a focus on performing myoActivation procedures to help patients manage and control pain effectively by manipulating myofascial tissues and releasing them.

Before settling in Surrey, Dr. Hurmat Ali practiced in Kelowna for two years after completing his residency at the University of British Columbia, Family Medicine Program in Rural Okanagan, Kelowna. During his residency, he served as the International Medical Graduate (IMG) Lead for one year, gaining valuable leadership and organizational experience.

Dr. Hurmat Ali earned his medical degree from the Medical School of Silesia in Poland and completed clerkships and rotations in Malta and the United States before completing his residency training in Family Medicine at UBC, which further strengthened his clinical and procedural expertise.

Dr. Hurmat Ali collaborates closely with the Division of Family Practice in Surrey-North Delta to enhance healthcare delivery and patient outcomes in the community. He is an active member of the Division's Seniors’ Working Group and Chronic Pain Management Working Group, where he is currently involved in developing clinical guidelines.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Hurmat Ali is passionate about traveling and photography. He enjoys exploring the country with his family and capturing breathtaking moments using his DJI 4 drone. Creating YouTube videos of his journeys allows him to share these experiences with others.

Dr. Hurmat Ali is honored to serve as a board member of the Surrey-North Delta Division. He is eager to bring innovative ideas and fresh perspectives to support the Division’s growth and the well-being of our community.
