Opioid Agonist Therapy (OAT) Committee (Project Completed)
Fentanyl related overdose deaths occur at the rate of about one every two days in Surrey. Quibble Creek, a Fraser Health program, is at capacity in OAT and requires family physicians to provide longitudinal care, including OAT maintenance, to unattached patients at this clinic. The OAT committee trained other family physicians to manage OAT patients in their offices, and aimed to create a community of Family Physicians supporting each other in the provision of OAT.
With the conclusion of the project, OAT work will continue in a different capacity in the future.
