Are you interested in working in a family practice clinic providing longitudinal care while living in a beautiful town with amazing recreational activities? Then consider joining KMMD! We are currently seeking one physician to fill a full or part-time role within our clinic.
DETAILS
KMMD is a long-term, well-run clinic, served by two family physicians with two excellent MOA staff. As part of the Primary Care Network, KMMD has access to PCN resources. Opportunity to take over a full-time (0.8) position with a panel of about 760 patients. There is also the option to take over part of the position and a portion of the patient panel.
The patient population is well-established and appreciative. Current physicians have their own panels but do cross coverage when required. The clinic's current physicians provide hospital coverage for patients related to the practice but do not cover obstetrics or emergency shifts.
The clinic uses Intrahealth profile EMR and overhead is very reasonable given the efficiency of a small clinic.
Lucrative New-to-Practice Salaried contracts available (up to full-time) to physicians who don't have an established patient panel in BC. Care for up to 800 patients under a 2-year salaried contract with generous recruitment incentives for new grads (Additional $25,000 sign-in bonus and up to $130,000 in debt repayment - including private loans and line or credits). COMPENSATION
Compensation Type : Fee-for-Service / Longitudinal Family Physician Payment Model
( Or Salaried if working under the New- to - Practice contract )
Estimated Remuneration: Between $200,000 to $450,000, dependent on work hours and patient volume. There is the capacity to add patients to the panel if desired.
Physician Overhead: % of billings based on work volume and terms of service negotiated
BENEFITS AND INCENTIVES
Vacation Leave: Open for discussion
May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including:
- Retention Premium: 11.34%
- Retention Flat Fee: $17,209.26
- Relocation Funding Available: $9,000 - $15,000
- Recruitment Incentive: $15,000 (pro-rated to FTE)
Other Benefits/Incentives
In addition to the above incentives, Rural CME support is also provided in increasing amounts reaching a max of $4,840/year by your 5th year in practice. Current rural incentives rates are confirmed at time of offer and are subject to change annually. Candidates with a BC or Canada student loan may be eligible for loan forgiveness programs.
