Operations Director/Controller

Melanie is the Operations Director/Controller for Fraser Northwest Division of Family Practice. She is responsible for everything financial. This involves insurance, contracts, payroll and benefits administration, annual audit, preparing financial reports, and building relationships with bankers, vendors, staff, board members, division members  and other stakeholders. Melanie is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CGA) in Canada, and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the Philippines. Melanie joined the Division in October 2018. Prior to joining the Division, Melanie worked in the construction industry and the education sector. She has over 37 years of experience with a comprehensive knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and analysis.  She also worked in Brunei Darussalam as an Accountant for 5 years before moving to Canada. 

Outside of work, Melanie enjoys spending time with her family. She is a baseball and basketball mom. She also loves gardening, baking and camping during the summer months.
