Dr. Vincent Wong

Dr. Vincent Wong is a family physician and currently serves as the Co-Site Director of the Vancouver-Fraser site of the UBC Family Practice Program based out of the Royal Columbian Hospital.  He is passionate about medical education and training future family physicians to provide quality longitudinal relationship-based care to patients.  He also has an interest in administrative medicine, particularly in finance and governance.  He has previously served one term on the FNW Division Board of Directors from 2019 - 2022, and has served as Vice-President and President of the BC College of Family Physicians between 2022 to 2024.  He is also a member of the Doctors of BC Representative Assembly.  

Dr. Wong completed his medical degree and family medicine residency with the University of British Columbia, and has subsequently earned a Master of Health Administration (MHA) and Master of Health Professions Education (MHPE) from the University of British Columbia and Maastricht University, respectively.  He believes in life-long learning, as well as evidence- and theory-informed practice, both within and beyond clinical medicine.  He works part-time in a teaching-focused full-service family practice clinic including longitudinal care and with the BC Drug & Poison Information Centre.

Dr. Wong is married and a father of two daughters.  He enjoys spending time with his family, particularly through travelling and developing his photography skills while exploring new destinations.
