Executive Director

Vera LeFranc joined the Division in 2024. As executive director, she oversees the Division’s operations and works to bring its strategic priorities to life. Vera is passionate about helping foster healthy communities. She comes to the Division as the former Chief Operations Officer of the Elizabeth Fry Society of Greater Vancouver (EFry), where she played a key role in the launch of B.C.’s first one stop community health centre for marginalized women and children, which also provides links to social service supports.

A former elected City Councillor for the City of Surrey, Vera was named one of the top 10 inaugural Municipal Innovators by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities. She was also appointed by the BC Minister of Children and Family Development to the Provincial Child Care Council, where she is currently serving her second term. She also serves as chair of the Network to Eliminate Violence in Relationships (NEVR) Board.
