Dr. Caitlin Finnamore | Resident Advisor
Dr. Caitlin Finnamore graduated from UBC Medical School in 2023 and is currently a second-year family medicine resident in the Vancouver Fraser program. Before medical school and residency, she completed her undergraduate and graduate studies at Simon Fraser University, earning an MSc in Health Sciences. Caitlin’s research focused on the built environment impact on older adult physical activity, and she later worked as a project coordinator with UBC’s Active Aging Research Team, supporting older adults in the community.
With a strong interest in older adult health, well-being, and long-term care, Caitlin plans to incorporate these areas into a full-scope family practice upon graduation. She is passionate about the value of long-term relationships in family medicine, viewing them as essential for providing personalized, continuous care. As the Resident Advisor, Caitlin advocates for better support for family physicians in the Fraser Northwest region and is committed to improving the quality of care in long-term care settings.
In her free time, Caitlin enjoys cycling through the city and embracing active transportation whenever possible. She finds balance in life by spending time outdoors with her dog, her husband, and connecting with friends and family. These moments help recharge her and fuel her passion for her work in family medicine.
