Attachment Coordinator 

Lauren Semkow serves as the Attachment Coordinator at our organization. With a strong educational background, Lauren holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of British Columbia (UBC). Her journey in the healthcare field began at a UBC zoology lab studying mosquitos, and she later worked as a Clinical Research Assistant in a diabetes lab at BC Children's Hospital. Lauren is also a certified Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA), having completed her MLA practicum. 

In her role as Attachment Coordinator, Lauren plays a crucial part in supporting our members and improving healthcare access in the Fraser Northwest Region. She diligently updates the Health Connect Registry, with the ultimate goal of connecting these individuals to Family Physicians and Nurse Practitioners within the community. Lauren actively builds relationships with healthcare professionals in the community, assessing their capacity to accept new patients and facilitating their transition to the Provincial Attachment System. 

Beyond her professional pursuits, Lauren finds joy in various personal interests. She is an avid runner and a passionate outdoor enthusiast, embracing adventures on foot, bike, and skis. Furthermore, her culinary curiosity leads her to explore new flavours both in restaurants and at home.
