Huddle With Your MOA by Dr. Davidicus Wong
An important office efficiency practice is the daily two-minute huddle with my MOA each morning before I see the first patient of the day. It has two purposes:
- to check in on a personal level (How are you doing this morning? Did someone wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning?) and
- to prepare for the special needs of patients or potential challenges in the schedule.
At the end of each workday, we do a quick debrief. What went well? What didn’t? What could we do differently? At the end of most days, we give each other a high five for work well done (or getting through a challenging day)!
