About Jody
As the Director of Strategic Initiatives and the Primary Care Network for Surrey-North Delta, Jody works to support local family physicians and their patients, and primary health care as a whole within the community.
With the Division, she has supported a number of initiatives, including the development of the Primary Care Network and Patient Medical Home models for Surrey-North Delta; the implementation of the Pathways online referral tool; connecting unattached patients to local family physicians; supporting health care for refugees and newcomers to Surrey and North Delta; and the Surrey-North Delta MOA Network.
In her role, Jody enjoys getting to know the physicians and MOAs working to support the health of their individual patients and our community as a whole, and to witness the passion of those who are working on the front lines of health care and social support services. Since starting with the Division in 2014, she continues to be motivated by opportunities to collaborate with others, to think creatively about primary care, and to implement services to support family physicians and their patients.
Jody has a Master of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario, and a Certificate in Project Management from the University of British Columbia. She is a proud mother of two children, and loves spending time with them and her husband. They all love cycling, and you can often find them zooming up and down the hills in Surrey.
