Trail - Riverside Medical Clinic (IHA-5922)

Salaried GP contract available to join a collegial group of 7 GPs and one Nurse Practitioner in a family medicine clinic located in downtown Trail. Work in a newly established Primary Care Network (PCN) multidisciplinary environment with in-clinic support from a Social worker and primary care Nurse, among other allied health professionals. Specialty support available at the nearby Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital includes Anesthesia, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Internal Medicine, ICU, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Plastics, Urology, Pathology, ENT, and Ophthalmology.

This salaried position will integrate into our existing network of full-service primary care providers, and can be combined with fee-for-service practice such as OR assists, hospitalist or emergency care. The position is remunerated by a clinic service contract, and requires the GP to work a minimum 1680 hours and 220 days per year (pro-rated for part time positions), providing for great flexibility in establishing your work/life balance. The Service Contract rates are competitively set and increase over the term of the three year contract. Recruitment is initially targeted to family practitioners who do not currently have a patient panel in the region.

The primary care clinic next door also has a salaried GP contract available, and both clinics will work collaboratively with the candidates interested to identify the ideal fit. Both clinics are part of the same Primary Care Network and share multidisciplinary resources.

This opportunity can also be a Fee-For-Service contract if this fits better with your goals. Generous rural recruitment incentives available, including relocation funding, sign-in bonus, retention flat fee and CME allocation.

 

COMPENSATION

Compensation Type: Clinical Service Contract 

Estimated Remuneration: Up to $285,000 based on full-time, plus optional FFS

Billing Split: 70/30 in office, 90/10 out of office 

 

BENEFITS AND INCENTIVES

Vacation Leave: Negociable

May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including:

  • Retention Premium: 11.34%
  • Retention Flat Fee: $11,402
  • Relocation Funding Available: $9.000-$15,000
  • Recruitment Incentive: $15,000 based on FT

No on-call, no in-patient work.
