The East Shore Community Health Care Clinic is 15 minutes from the Kootney Bay Ferry terminal and 1-hour drive from Creston. It serves a series of remote and rural lakeside hamlets located along an 80 km stretch of road on the East Shore of Kootenay Lake

East Shore Community Health Center (IHA-7025 and IHA-7193)

The East Shore Community Health Centre is owned and operated by Interior Health and serves the wider East Shore of Kootenay Lake in the Southern Interior of BC. We are looking for a Family Practice Physician to join the team in Crawford Bay. Currently, the Health Centre is a full-service family practice clinic with Family Physicians who provide services 1–2 days per week each and a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner. The hope is to find a suitable physician who is interested in working part-time so the clinic hours can be increased to 5 days per week.

Depending on the location that you choose to live, you will have the opportunity to join the medical staff in Creston or Nelson. This is a great opportunity for you to build an all-age, diverse patient panel and help shape the future of the East Shore clinic! The East Shore Community Health Centre has a dedicated MOA support staff with the use of the Interior Health profile EMR. There are several established other services available as well;
• Community Home Care nursing (part-time)
• Laboratory & ECG; once / week
• Local part-time private practice physiotherapist
• Mental Health counsellor (part-time)

Compensation Type: Service Contract

Vacation Leave: Flexible

  • Retention Premium: 23.10%
  • Retention Flat Fee: $23,225.40
  • Relocation Funding Available: up to $15,000
  • Recruitment Incentive: $20,000 (if full-time)
