Current Permanent Opportunities

Parksville Medical Clinic, Parksville

1 full-time family physician

Full time opportunity to join a busy, central practice with fantastic workflow and clinic management, billing, and friendly, experienced staff.  Many family practitioners are all about the work-life balance these days, and you won't find a better place for balance than this beachside community - one of Western Canada's most popular vacation destinations. Working on a 70/30 overhead split, you can build your patient panel with the help of the area's patient waitlist.   This clinic has enacted a very good COVID strategy of one-way traffic flow, predominance of at-home work via telehealth use, and limited in-person contact - and the population of patients have been very accepting of these COVID restrictions.  With supportive staff and fantastic nursing, Parksville Medical is located in the beautiful beach community of Parksville in the sunny Oceanside area of Central Vancouver Island.  Parksville physicians enjoy rural recruitment incentives, fee premiums and annual flat fees for practitioners that live and work in the community.

Qualicum Medical Centre, Qualicum Beach, BC

2-3 Full or part time family physicians

Full or part time turn-key opportunity.  You would be joining another long-established family physician practicing in the beautiful beachside community of Qualicum Beach, with the aim of having 3 or 4 physicians in the clinic.  The clinic is centrally located, walkable, and bright.  The area has a patient wait-list and the local Division of Family Practice will assist you in building your new panel so that you can make your practice work for you from day 1.  This community is a resilient, largely senior community, resulting in significantly higher MSP billings, and enjoys rural recruitment incentives, fee premiums and annual flat fees for practitioners that live and work in the community.  There is a Residential Care Initiative in the area if you have an interest, and a robust on-call group that operates at about a 1-in-20 rota.

Orchard Medical Centre, Port Alberni 1 Full-time or Part-time

Orchard Medical Centre, located in Port Alberni, has an opportunity for an additional physician to start a new practice or consider taking over an established patient panel from the current physician who is considering eventual retirement. As they transition to full retirement, the current physician is interested in providing part-time clinic hours. The clinic is located in a 3-level building which is owned by the current physician. With an experienced MOA, whether you are looking to start your own practice or are ready to eventually take over an established practice, there are many opportunities here to make it your own. The existing family practice of 43 years is paper-based, with electronic billing. This allows you to choose your own preferred EMR, if desired.
