Primary Objectives
- To make an in-clinic telehealth system available region-wide for use in shared consultations that is easy to use, cost effective, and secure.
- To complete the implementation of the “Virtual Maternity Clinic” for all members of a maternity patient’s care team (family physician, midwife, specialist, GP-OB).
Secondary Objectives
- Develop and implement CME for GPs who do not regularly provide perinatal support.
- Gathering info for KB Shared Care web portal, a resource listing of information for doctors for referrals and to share with patients, and a written version for placement in communities where patients might access information.
- Collaborative team established that ensures sustainable services for regional birthing options.
