The Sea to Sky Division of Family Practice has two openings on its Board of Directors. Both positions are salaried however, these two roles cannot be remunerated for any work outside of board responsibilities (including hospital payments). Our Current Board Members
Dr. Olivia Bayley Dr. Bayley grew up in the UK, where she completed her medical studies and a BSc in International Health. She worked in the NHS for 14 years, in both inner-city and rural settings, before moving to BC in 2018. She has previously studied and worked in India, Cuba and Malawi, where she developed a deep interest in socioeconomic and cultural aspects of health and healthcare. Since 2019, she has worked as a family doctor in Whistler. Highlights of this period have been building strong community relationships while navigating the COVID pandemic and helping to transition the Whistler Medical Clinic into a not-for-profit, community-owned clinic, Whistler 360. She loves her work as a full-service family doctor and has served on the Division's Board of Directors since 2024. | ![]() |
| Dr. Naomi Farrell (Co-Chair) Naomi is a family physician working from the Squamish Medical Clinic, as well as providing inpatient care at Squamish General Hospital and long-term care at Hilltop House. She has been part of the Division board for the last 2 years as well as the Primary Care Initiative for the last 4 years. Outside of these roles, she enjoys life in our beautiful Sea to Sky community with her family. | ![]() |
Dr. Danielle Patterson
She has been practicing longitudinal family medicine in Sea to Sky since 2007 and is bringing up 3 Whistler kids. She has a passion for lifelong learning. | ![]() |
Dr. Melissa Ann Aragon Cantu Dr. Melissa Aragon is a family physician based in Squamish, BC, with a special interest in emergency medicine, addictions care, and working with vulnerable populations. She earned her medical degree from the University of British Columbia in 2015 and completed her Family Medicine residency in Surrey, BC. Since 2017, she has been dedicated to serving the Squamish community. Dr. Aragon holds both an undergraduate degree and a Master of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Victoria and University of British Columbia, respectivel. Her background in anthropology continues to inform her holistic, patient-centered approach to care. She is especially passionate about improving access and outcomes for marginalized and underserved populations, combining clinical skill with a sense of social responsibility. Outside of work, Dr. Aragon is a mom to two daughters, an enthusiastic ski jumping parent. She enjoys baking, travelling, and outdoor adventures like whitewater rafting and ultrarunning. | ![]() |
| Dr. Brennan McKnight M.D, C.C.F.P. Dr. Brennan McKnight was born and raised in Victoria, BC. She studied Kinesiology at The University of Victoria, before completing her medical degree at the University of British Columbia. After completing her Family Medicine residency in 2011, she spent 2 years practicing rural and remote medicine in dozens of communities in BC as well as northern Saskatchewan. She then worked for 4 years as a full-service family physician in Sooke, BC. In 2019, she relocated to Whistler with her husband and 3 small children. She recently completed a 2-year term as the MSA President and is the Medical Director of Whistler 360. Brennan recently completed her FPSC Board Governance course this spring. She is interested in learning more about and contributing to the Division’s work to support and innovate change in family practice. | ![]() |
