The Sea to Sky Division of Family Practice is welcoming nominations from Members to join our Board of Directors!

There are TWO board positions open for election at the upcoming Annual General Meeting Wednesday, February 26th, 2025.

The Board of Directors currently has six elected director positions, with two of these positions becoming vacant and available for election at the upcoming AGM. As a not-for-profit society, the Sea to Sky Division of Family Practice is funded by the Family Practice Services Committee and represents over 95 members including physicians, nurse practitioners and specialists working in Squamish through Whistler communities. Division members in good standing are strongly encouraged to consider this opportunity. This is a valuable opportunity to build upon our vision of a network of healthy and engaged healthcare practitioners driving primary care that is reflective and responsive to our diverse community.

As a Director on the Board, you will:

• bring your knowledge, expertise and voice to the Board table, influencing healthcare decisions in our communities and throughout the province
• commit to meeting approximately 10 times a year for Board meetings, planning retreats and education opportunities. Most Board meetings are held virtually with at least two in person meetings a year
• expect to spend 4-5 hours a month on Board related business, plus more if involved in Board related committees and leadership roles.

All your time spent on Board or Committee related work is compensated through sessionals. We also offer stipends to cover meal and childcare expenses.
