Our Board Division Members
Dr. Olivia Bailey Dr. Bayley grew up in the UK, where she completed her medical studies and a BSc in International Health. She worked in the NHS for 14 years, in both inner-city and rural settings, before moving to BC in 2018. She has previously studied and worked in India, Cuba and Malawi, where she developed a deep interest in socioeconomic and cultural aspects of health and healthcare. Since 2019, she has worked as a family doctor in Whistler. Highlights of this period have been building strong community relationships while navigating the COVID pandemic and helping to transition the Whistler Medical Clinic into a not-for-profit, community-owned clinic, Whistler 360. She loves her work as a full-service family doctor and has served on the Division's Board of Directors since 2024. |

Dr. Melissa Ann Aragon Cantu Dr. Melissa Aragon is a family physician based in Squamish, BC, with a special interest in emergency medicine, addictions care, and working with vulnerable populations. She earned her medical degree from the University of British Columbia in 2015 and completed her Family Medicine residency in Surrey, BC. Since 2017, she has been dedicated to serving the Squamish community. Dr. Aragon holds both an undergraduate degree and a Master of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Victoria and University of British Columbia, respectivel. Her background in anthropology continues to inform her holistic, patient-centered approach to care. She is especially passionate about improving access and outcomes for marginalized and underserved populations, combining clinical skill with a sense of social responsibility. Outside of work, Dr. Aragon is a mom to two daughters, an enthusiastic ski jumping parent. She enjoys baking, travelling, and outdoor adventures like whitewater rafting and ultrarunning. |
