A new collection of COVID-19 resources highlights the response by divisions of family practice to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Divisions throughout the province have created resources and shared them with the provincial office for inclusion in the collection. Resources include:
On Thursday, May 7 at 6 p.m. (PST) the Doctors Technology Office (DTO) is hosting “Getting Patients Back to Practice – Navigating the New Norm,” a physician-led webinar highlighting strategies for effectively communicating with patients to ensure that they are aware that virtual care is available, and are accessing appropriate and timely care.
Testing is available for all patients who need it, but not everyone requires a test. Please visit the BCCDC lab testing page to learn more.
In addition to the COVID-19 supports from Doctors of BC, many divisions of family practice are creating and sharing their own resources. The Family Practice Services Committee (FPSC) is implementing changes to incentive fees for family doctors starting April 1, 2020 that will streamline, clarify, and improve rule consistency across fees.
February 28, 2020 | Divisions of family practice throughout BC continue working towards primary care network (PCN) implementation.

The FPSC is offering a billing education webinar focused team-based care on billing on January 21, 2020 at 6 PM (Register).
Family physicians working in teams, including physicians who are part of primary care networks (PCNs), are encouraged to participate to learn more about both MSP fees and FPSC incentives that support team-based care.
