What Can They Treat?
Patients Can Seek Treatment for Issues Such As:
- Sore throats
- Ear aches
- Upset stomach
- Sprains & strains
- Small cuts needing stitches
- Fevers and infections
Services Patients Can Also Access at the Urgent and Primary Care Centre:
- Appointment with a family physician
- Counselling services
- Prescription renewals (no medication dispensing on site)
- Referrals to specialists and other community services
How Do I Use It?
The Urgent and Primary Care Centre is for non life-threatening illnesses when you are not able to see your family doctor or visit a clinic within 12 - 14 hours.
For non-emergency health concerns please call your family doctor first or visit a walk-in clinic. Your family doctor may have same day bookings available. Visit Medimap.ca for wait times and appointments available at walk-in clinics in your community.
For emergencies like broken bones, chest pains or head injuries please visit the emergency room or call 9-1-1.
