The IMIT committee is a collaboration between Interior Health (IH) and the divisions of family practice within IH, which includes East Kootenay. IMIT is tasked with improving information management and technology to improve patient safety and foster improved communication between family physicians and other health care providers.

The committee will continue to improve the use of information technology within the IH region, in a co-operative and collaborative way, with involvement and direction from the seven member Divisions.

The Doctors Technology Office (DTO) is currently seeking physicians to join in a series of upcoming webinars on information management and information technology (IMIT) initiatives at the regional and provincial levels. Any physicians interested please contact Laura Vanlerberg.
