Founded in 2020, the EK CPD Program led by the EK CPD Steering Committee hosts well-attended and highly-rated monthly Happy Hour & Learn webinars.

The virtual platform facilitates networking and learning in a remarkably well-received way and increases access for all physicians to attend high-quality local CME. Happy Hour & Learn keeps the focus on local knowledge and networking, and features presentations from local specialists.

Flourishing Physicians

The Flourishing Physicians support group is open to all East Kootenay physicians. Meetings are held virtually every six weeks. They are facilitated by Dr. Tyla Charbonneau, registered psychologist, and expert guests. Time is also dedicated to learning and resource sharing, as well as to open dialogue and networking.

Each meeting is focused on a specific topic. Examples include: parenting; trauma; substance use; sleep; health eating; conflict resolution; grief, mindfulness, vulnerability, etc.

Physicians have the opportunity to be reminded of their current skills, learn new skills, and provide encouragement and support to each other.
