Noorul Nasir - Attachment Coordinator

Noorul Nasir joined the Rural and Remote Division of Family Practice in January 2022 as an Attachment Coordinator. Before working at the Division, she worked at FNHA as a Regional Primary Care Lead for the Fraser Salish region. She advocated for primary care services specific to First Nation communities and worked with PCN, supporting working groups and bringing First Nation voices to the tables. She graduated with a MD degree from Windsor SOM, St.Kitts. After completing her MCC medical board exams, she worked as a clinical trainee providing direct medical care to the patients under physician supervision in Prince George, Nanaimo, and Richmond, BC.

She strives to be a part of the solution in improving healthcare by increasing access, improving cultural safety and humility and addressing the social determinants of health. Her passion is to provide communities and families with the tools to be the best version of themselves via education, communication, and advocacy. She believes in empowering individuals to improve their health and overall well-being.

She loves being outdoors, taking road trips and exploring the backcountry with her husband. She grew up in Ontario and, moved to BC 6 years ago. She currently resides in Chilliwack, BC and loves being surrounded by the mountains!
