Kaitlyn comes from the Gitxsan Nation and was born and raised on the traditional lands, she is from the wolf clan in the house of xGwoimtxw. Her traditional name is Dim Di Skimsum which was given to her by her matrilineal grandmother in 2010. For the past 4 years Kaitlyn has been working for Northern Health Authority as a Health Care Assistant for both community and facility sectors in the Hazelton area. In her spare time she is either found playing soccer or hockey, and spending time with her dog Bandit and nephew Lane.
