Dr. Allison Ferg - Secretary

Allie is a board member-at-large.

Allie earned her MD from the University of Manitoba in 1984. She completed an internship in Victoria in 1985, and has completed her CCFP.

Since 1986 Allie has worked in a full-service family practice with obstetrics. She has a special interest in maternity care. As well, she has been active in FM teaching and has been a Clinical Instructor in the UBC Family Medicine residency program since 1993.

Allie has been actively involved with Division initiatives including as a physician advisor and part of the planning support to the Collaborative Maternity Clinic (scheduled to open at VGH in fall 2014), a member of the GI working group through the South Island Division's Partners in Care Program, and a member of the Physician Health & Wellness working group. She is a longtime supporter of continuing medical education and has been a Practice-Based Small Group member since 1995, and a group facilitator since 2004. She is extremely passionate about family medicine and in continuing to build its profile and depth in our community. She feels very fortunate to work within a group of such excellent practitioners.
