Dr. Ryan McCallum served as a pilot in the Royal Canadian Air Force before completing his medical training in 2010.
He is currently a family physician in the Comox Valley, and will retire in 2017 from almost 25 years of service with the Canadian Armed Forces. Prior to his arrival in BC, he practiced in both Alberta and Nova Scotia.
Dr. McCallum has experience in collaborative team care with nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and mental health teams.
He has a passion for re-allocation of provincial efforts into robust primary care for improved clinical outcomes as well as enhanced professional satisfaction for physicians.
