
Nancy Humber, originally from Newfoundland, completed her undergraduate studies at Queen’s University. She attended medical school at Memorial University and did her rural family practice residency at the University of British Columbia where she is now an Associate Clinical Professor.
Nancy has been working for 20 years as a GP-surgeon in rural BC and is very involved in rural health systems delivery and rural surgical service models. She has also published several articles in the Canadian Journal of Surgery, as well as the CMA, SRPC, and CFP journals.
Nancy is also the mother of six children (two sets of identical twins) and currently lives in Lillooet, BC.
Moving forward, Nancy aspires to be part of the solution towards systems innovation and health care delivery improvement through the engagement of the MoH, Doctors of BC, Divisions of Family Practice, and the Health Authorities.
