Rebecca Lindley is a physician, currently in an 'urban' stage of life, but with a long history of rural work. She trained and did locums in several rural areas in Ontario and BC and then spent 15 years living and working in Pemberton, BC. Together with her partner, Jel, they led an interprofessional primary care group practice and shared in 24/7 emergency care for the community. She was the Vancouver Coastal Health Local Medical Director for Pemberton for 10 years and was one of two physician leads with the local IPCC (Integrated Primary Care Committee). Rebecca is a member of the management/core team of the Rural Coordination Centre of BC (RCCbc), and is co-architect & co-director of The CARE Course, an interprofessional emergency care course which travels to rural communities to work with local teams of physicians, nurses, and paramedics.
