Bonnie is a Family Physician in the Comox Valley. She is the active Co Chair of the Comox Valley Division of Family Practice. She joined the Board of Directors of the Division in 2015.
Bonnie’s previous administrative experience includes being the Secretary for the High River Hospital Medical Staff Association for 2006-2009, Vice President of the High River Medical staff Association in 2010. She was also the Medical representative of the High River District Health Care Foundation from 2009 to 2013. She was a Physician Lead for the MoreOB program in High River for 10 years, and the Physician Lead of the Primary Care Network Pediatric Assessment Clinic in High River. Bonnie was a Clinical Lecturer at the Universities of Calgary & Edmonton when practicing in Alberta. She was the Primary Preceptor for the Rural Integrated Community Clerkship program in High River for several years. She recently completed the FPSC Leadership and Management Development Program through the Beedie School of Business in 2017.
Bonnie completed a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Zoology in 1989 and Master’s of Science Degree in Neuroscience in 1991. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree in Family Practice from the University of Calgary in 2000. She practiced in Southern Alberta from 2000 to 2013 and moved to the Comox Valley in 2013. Bonnie lives in the Comox Valley and shares a community clinical practice at the Sea Cove Medical Clinic. She is an active outdoor enthusiast and believes that physical activity and the outdoors are an integral part of good mind/body health. She is passionate about preventative health and patient advocacy.
