The project is developing maternity care pathways (visual/graphic documents outlining services, resources, steps in care, and scope of practice) that can be understood broadly and communicated by health professionals and community partners in Abbotsford and Mission. To develop the pathway, a series of conversations with GPs, OB/GYNs, and midwives will take place, and patients and community organizations will be surveyed. The CME event 'But I Don't Do Maternity Care' will take place in late June/ early July 2017 to support GP capacity in providing maternity care, linking with Specialists and AHPs, and to launch the pathways.
