Urban Locum Program compensation increase

The Urban Locum Program is excited to announce that our request for increased compensation has been approved by our funders.

Retroactive April 1, locum compensation will increase from a daily rate of $849.50 to $1,175.80 per 8-hour day of service. The daily rate increases to $1,275.80 from day one once locums complete 60 days of service (paid retroactively in a $6,000 bonus).

We are grateful to the FPSC, Doctors of BC, and the Ministry of Health for their work to approve our request. We believe this is an important step towards fair and competitive compensation for our locums. Our hope is that it will increase our pool and expand our program to help better serve a demonstrated demand in the community.
