The MOA performs a variety of clerical and medical office assistant duties: Client reception includes greeting clients, making appointments, scheduling, and assisting with the smooth operation and flow of client visits and care. Administrative team support includes word processing, data entry, document correspondence and reports, managing exam room flow and client referral processes. Record keeping involves medical billing, revenue management, and maintaining confidential filing systems. The MOA engages in empathic client interactions to support team effectiveness and a positive milieu. The MOA responds to general inquiries related to programs and services and attends to established organizational policies and principles within the interdisciplinary health care environment.

- Schedule | Mon-Thurs: 8:00-20:00; Fri: 8:00-16:00; Sat:8:00-12:00 (rotating schedule)

Ross Bay Health Centre (FT, permanent)

The Ross Bay Health Centre is urgently hiring a full-time MOA to start in January, 2022. The successful candidate will be motivated and have strong computer and communication skills. They will work along side two experienced MOAs to provide support to our four General Practitioners and three Nurse Practitioners. Some of the duties include document filing, booking appointments, maintaining a multi-level telephone system, checking in patients and performing temperature checks upon arrival. This is a Monday-Friday position. The wage is $20/hr with extended benefits after a 90-day probationary period. We are a supportive team who works hard to provide our patients with a high quality of care.

Richmond Road Medical Clinic is seeking a friendly and reliable Medical Office Assistant to join our well established clinic. The clinic offers a dynamic team and well supported working environment. We are looking for a part-time or full-time MOA to work Monday-Friday, as well as sick days/holiday coverage for the other MOA. Please outline your interest and experience in response to this ad.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Answering phones, communicating with and assisting patients
- Scheduling appointments
- Faxing and emailing
- Cleaning and stocking examination rooms
- Sterilizing medical equipment
- Directing patients into waiting rooms
Minimum Candidate Requirements:
- Experience using Juno EMR is preferred but willing to train
- Experience in a medical office is welcome but not required
- Intermediate general computer/technology skills
- Must be able to multi-task, work in a team setting, and have strong customer service skills
- Must be detail oriented, and work well in a fast-paced work environment

- Salary: $24 per hour

Requirements: Clinic operates 7 days per week, 9:00am to 7:00pm - candidate must be willing to work varied shifts: days, evenings and weekends, as required. Great team of 3 GP's in beautiful modern top-floor office with views of Olympic mountains from your desk. Mix of virtual and in-person care. Only one doc per day does in-person care; usually around 15 patients in-person per day. Other two docs work remotely or in their own office for virtual days. Modern equipment, comfortable phone headsets, dedicated lunch area, and staff washroom. Great place to work as an MOA, with great GP's and lovely established patients.
