A GP for Me was an initiative of Doctors of BC and the Ministry of Health which aimed to strengthen the continuous family physician-patient relationship and better support the needs of vulnerable patients.
In Oceanside, the project started a groundswell of community-driven support for the the recruitment and retention of physicians, and helped to form community groups that are still working today to improve healthcare in our region through partnerships between health providers, the Division of Family Practice, politicians, community leaders, businesses, and citizens.
