Katherine qualified as a CA (now CPA, CA) almost 25 years ago after completing her articling at the Vancouver offices of Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC) and the Toronto offices of Thorne Riddell (now KPMG). In 1991 Katherine moved into private industry and worked six years with a construction management company, followed by six years helping to launch a BC winery. In 2004, Katherine returned to public practice, and since then has provided accounting and tax services to private corporations and individuals. Katherine’s current and past client base include entertainment, restaurants and pubs, wineries and construction management. In June 2016, Katherine decided she would like to focus on entities in the non-profit sector. Realizing there is a need for financial expertise in not-for-profit organizations, she started working for Humanity Financial Management Inc., a professional accounting firm which assists and advises clients in this sector.
