July 29, 2021 | The GPSC is launching a new program to train medical office staff to implement panel management and assist family practice teams in providing proactive and preventative care for their patients. This program builds off the success of the training pilot program held in the spring where 100% of participants agree or strongly agree that “the course will make me more effective at supporting the clinic team.”
The training program will give staff the opportunity to learn and practice valuable skills to help decrease administrative burden for doctors, and to apply EMR procedures that streamline office workflows. The program is a professional development opportunity for staff to upskill in their role and deliver comprehensive support to their team.
There are 24 spots available for training and the program will run from September 8 to December 15, 2021 through the University of Fraser Valley. Training is free for participants and funded through the GPSC.
The deadline to submit an application is August 20, 2021.
