The Abbotsford Division has launched a two-year pilot project to implement and research the use of telemedicine in Abbotsford for attached patients. This project will evaluate telemedicine as a resource to enhancing longitudinal care with attached patients. The project will inform local, regional, and provincial telemedicine policies and programs. It will test the effectiveness of increasing access to care for attached patients who may have mobility barriers. It will evaluate the impact of telehealth on patient and provider satisfaction and patient health outcomes. And it will inform appropriate use criteria and education needs.
