Hospital Care Program: a model for primary care collaboration.
Providing care to their patients at Abbotsford Regional Hospital, community GPs ensure continuity of care through the acute system. Members with full hospital privileges pool their resources to cross cover afterhours. Twenty four hour compensated shifts are assigned monthly and a call service supports the program.
