Deb Walters, Part-time Junior Project Coordinator

Debbie Walters is a community leader, special events coordinator and community volunteer.Deb was first elected to Pitt Meadows Council in 2005.  She served two terms as counsellor prior to being elected Mayor in 2011.

Deb’s work experience includes management in Catering and Retail; Work for SD #42, Ministry of Tourism and Appraisals for B.C. Forest Service.   She has completed studies in Accounting, Marketing, Communication, Management & Leadership, Facilitated Learning, Vocational Rehabilitation and Labour Market Management. She holds certificates in Hospitality & Tourism and Local Government Leadership.  She is presently enrolled in the Career Development Practitioner Certification Course at Douglas College. 

She has been married to husband Len since 1983 and has two children, Scott and Cayley and four grandchildren.

Winner of the 2005 Pitt Meadows Citizen of the Year Award, Queens Diamond Jubilee Award, and Citizen of the Century Award; Deb recognizes the spirit of volunteerism and the importance of building healthy and safe communities for all citizens.
