Courtenay Medical Clinic #1

Opportunity at an established, full-service, busy family practice clinic with four other physicians. Weekday clinic with 1 evening per week; Saturday hours are 1:00pm-5:00pm. Hospital privileges and residential care. 

The supportive MOA staff, Office Manager, and waiting room are shared between all doctors in a beautiful and functional building located in central Courtenay. An office, two exam rooms, and a treatment room are shared with one other physician. 

The clinic is a 10 minute drive from the hospital with free onsite parking and is located close to amenities. 

There is also an opportunity to purchase share of the medical clinic building as an investment. 

Status: Full-Time 

Location: Courtenay Medical Clinic, Courtenay

Shift/Hours of Work: Monday 9:00-5:00, Tuesday 9:00-1:00, Wednesday 1:00-7:00, Thursday 9:00-1:00, Saturday 10:00-2:00. Plus hospital on call group (1-9) as well as adhoc house and nursing home visits. 

Remuneration: Fee for Service 

Benefits: May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidy agreement (RSA) including:Recruitment Incentive - $;10,000 Fee Premium – %6.93; Annual Flat Fee - $6,967; Rural CME starting at $ 2,200/annum years 3&4 in the community increasing to a maximum of $4,400 /annum after 4 years. 

Qualifications: 
- Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia 
- Advanced cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Desired 
- Surgical Skills - Desired

The physician community comprises 16 full-service medical clinics, two walk-in clinics and a military base clinic. We are currently served by with a new 153-bed acute care facility, Comox Valley Hospital.
