Courtenay Medical Associates

Courtenay Medical Associates is seeking a family physician to join our group and build your own patient list.

We are a group of associates who seek another physician to work with us on a fixed overhead basis. The call workload is light and there is no requirement to do ER or Maternity, but there is an opportunity to do maternity as well as neonatal call and Doctor of the Day.

There will be enough work to continue a good income, and the flexibility to do other activities outside of the clinic. We will be happy to work with you to design a work pattern to suit your lifestyle and work interests.

You can take leave when you want as we have a system of cover in place for absent physicians without the requirement for locum cover, a system within which you will take an integral part.

Start Date: As soon as possible

Shift/Hours of Work: Full time | 4-4.5 days per week | Opportunity to take part in the weekend call schedule on a 1:7 or 1: 8 rotational basis.

Remuneration: Fee for Service

Benefits: May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including:  Recruitment Incentive - $10,000; Fee Premium – 6.93%; Annual Flat Fee - $6,967.62; Rural CME starting at $2,200/annum after 3 years in the community increasing to a maximum of $4,400 after 4 years.
