FPSC Residential Care Initiative

The FPSC has recently launched a province-wide Residential Care Initiative that will provide funding (in addition to fee-for-service billings) to improve care in complex residential care settings. The South Island and Victoria Divisions of Family Practice are working collaboratively to develop a unified regional approach to local residential care solutions.
 

About the Initiative

The FPSC has allocated $12 million annually for the province, with the total amount available to each division calculated for equity at an annual $400 per residential care bed, available in a lump sum that divisions can access quarterly, starting July 1, 2015.
