Cheryl Ashlie, Project Manager

Cheryl Ashlie has lived in Maple Ridge since 1995 with her husband, Dean, and three children. Cheryl has been very active in the community through volunteering, which earned her the Maple Ridge Community Foundation’s annual Citizen of the Year Award in 2017. Cheryl was also elected to the Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows Board of Education for three terms, followed by two terms as a City Councillor for Maple Ridge. Opting to leave local politics to start her consulting business, Ashlie Board Consulting: The ABCs of Effective Board Governance, where she uses her governance knowledge and skills to support non-profit organizations.

Cheryl continues to volunteer in the community as a director of the Alouette River Management Society and as Secretary for the Ridge Meadows Education Foundation. Cheryl enjoys spending time with her friends and family, especially with her two grandsons. Her hobbies include acrylic painting, hiking and vacationing with friends and family at their cabin on Ruxton Island and she remains actively interested in local politics.
